ZNJU-ESU Joint Education Program

A partnership between Zhejiang Normal University and Emporia State University

The ZJNU-ESU Undergraduate Joint Program in Music Education is a partnership between Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) and Emporia State University (ESU) aimed at providing high-quality undergraduate training to students aspiring to become music educators. The program offers students a unique opportunity to study music in both the United States and China. Currently, we have nearly 200 enrolled students who will follow the music education curriculum of both ZJNU and ESU.

 

Emporia State University (ESU) is a comprehensive public university located in Emporia, Kansas, United States. Established in 1863, it has a rich history of providing quality education and serving as a catalyst for regional development. Our music department is highly regarded for its exceptional faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and wide range of degree programs.

 

Zhejiang Normal University, located in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, China, is a prestigious institution with a strong emphasis on teacher education and has a long history of training qualified teachers. The university's music department boasts a rich heritage and has produced many successful musicians and educators.

 

As we continue to develop and expand this program, we are seeking experienced and passionate educators to join our team.


The ZJNU-ESU Undergraduate Joint Education Program in Music Education is seeking to hire a piano/voice instructor to teach on the campus of Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, China.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach private lessons to undergraduate music education majors.
  • Assist in end of semester juries, prepare students for their jury and any performances that may arise.
  • Teach courses in English.
  • Maintain an average commitment of 26 hours per week for the entire academic year.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Master's degree required; doctoral degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of college teaching experience required.
  • Proficiency in English is a must.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $29,400/academic year. Health insurances, visa fee, and travel to and from China will be provided by the University.
