The office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) at Emporia State University, located in the Center for Student Involvement (CSI), strives to contribute to the positive life of the campus and provide a sense of belonging to all students. Join a team of dedicated and collaborative student affairs professionals providing a variety of co-curricular programs for students. In addition to FSL, CSI is home to New Student Programs, Student Activities and Community Service, Recognized Student Organizations, Union Activities Council, TradPlus/Transfer and Veteran programming, and Associated Student Government.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life advises the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Governing Council (MGGC), Panhellenic Association (PHA), Order of Omega, and the Student Homecoming Committee.
  • FSL student leadership development 
  • FSL program development including expansion 
  • Administration of all policies and procedures pertinent to FSL 
  • Fiscal management of operational office budget
  • Public relations as it relates to FSL recruitment, alumni, chapter advisors, the ESU community, and the community of Emporia.
  • Adjudicate student conduct within the FSL community in conjunction with the Dean of Students.
  • With support from the Senior Director of the Center for Student Involvement, during the spring semester teach three 1 credit hour courses, Leading in Teams, Leading in Student Organizations, and Leadership Facilitation. Students enrolled in the course serve as E-Team Leaders with responsibility related to New Student Enrollment Programs and Orientation.
  • The Director reports to the Senior Director of the Center for Student Involvement and works closely with other professionals at ESU 

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a Master's Degree in a related field, as well as at least five years of applicable experience. 

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary:  $42,915 - $74,530 annually.
