Emporia State University is transforming to build a bright future. The School Relations Coordinator at Emporia State University is an essential part of the university’s transformation and to the health and long-term vitality of the university. Emporia State is seeking an individual with experience in the who can foster deep relationships with high school, community college, key organization personnel.


The School Relations Coordinator is accountable for building deep professional relationships with key personnel of targeted organizations, high schools + community colleges in the state, region and key out of state geographical areas to (1) increase / build the pipeline of all incoming students to Emporia State; (2) increase alumni relations with individuals in the schools; (3) foster pipeline of new qualified student teachers / teachers to school districts. This individual will also develop + launch an Advisory Council for each High School + Community College to identify + facilitate execution for opportunities for improvement.


This capable leader will execute a metrics-based, ever-evolving strategic plan to help build a pipeline of students to Emporia State yield a cohort of newly enrolled undergraduate students. The selected candidate will deliver a superior student recruitment experience that will attract new students to Hornet Nation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Relationship Development

  • High School + Community College Relationship Development on behalf of Emporia State University with key individuals including school leadership, counselors, CTE contacts, advisors at strategically targeted schools to increase two-way pipeline of students + graduates.
  • Consistent reporting + communication with admissions, marketing, alumni + other stakeholder groups

 

Establish Advisory Counsel

  • Lead and manage two advisory councils (1) High School; (2) Community Colleges
  • Identify areas for opportunity and initiate resulting improvement initiatives with functional owners.


Alumni Relations

  • Increase alumni relationships with alumni in schools.
  • Provide information about ESU’s graduate studies information

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years+ experience in high school or community college setting.
  • Proven ability to build + advance professional relationships with all levels of professionals.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills. 

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary:  $60,000 - $63,000 annually.
