Emporia State University’s Business Office is seeking applications for a highly organized, detail-oriented team player to join us as an Accountant I. This is a full-time position, eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit state travel and process the payment for ESU employees.
  • Purchase registrations and airfare for ESU employees using the appropriate business procurement card.
  • Process Accounts Payable for local organization accounts.
  • Handle transfers between accounts at bank. Record daily deposit and monitor all transactions in wire bank account.
  • Process utility payments for ESU.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High school diploma + 4 years of experience


Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are also required.


COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $19.24 - $21.10 hourly based on experience and/or degree.
