Emporia State University is seeking applications for an Administrative Specialist for the School of Visual & Performing Arts Dean’s Office. This is a 12-month onsite position, benefits eligible and based in Emporia, KS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to the units within the school and assist in optimal operation.
  • Assist Students and Faculty and respond to initial program inquiries and unit/school emails.
  • Answer Phones, greet visitors, copy, file, monitor supplies, and compose documents.
  • Initiate forms, assist in compiling data, data entry, and maintain databases.
  • Organize and help with school events.
  • Coordinate the completion of paperwork, while maintaining budgets.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of administrative or office support experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with at least 1 year of administrative or office experience
  • One year of experience managing budgets and/or governmental purchasing
  • Familiarity with Banner, Quicken, Quickbooks, or other budgeting systems
