Emporia State University is seeking applications for an Administrative Specialist for the School of Library and Information Management. This is a 12-month onsite position, benefits eligible and based in Emporia, KS. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to the units within the school and assist in optimal operation.
  • Assist students and faculty.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, copy, file, monitor supplies, and compose documents.
  • Initiate forms, assist in compiling data, data entry, and maintain databases.
  • Organize and help with school events.
  • Coordinate the completion of paperwork, while maintaining and tracking budgets.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Associate of bachelor’s degree; experience working in an academic or office setting.

  • Salary is commensurate based on experience and/or degree.
