Emporia State University is looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as the new Assistant to the CIO within the Information Technology (IT) department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain department personnel and payroll records, including coordination of IT employee hiring 
  • Develop and maintain IT procedures, as needed (procurement and acquisition procedures, travel, etc.) 
  • Track contracts and ensure timely processing
  • Pay invoices
  • Reconcile department credit card purchases and remit logs
  • Direct billing other departments
  • Process departmental deposits
  • Reconcile department purchasing records
  • Assist in creation of the department budget
  • Coordinate department travel and professional development
  • Schedule meetings and appointments for the CIO
  • Maintain the CIO’s calendar
  • Preparing minutes, reports, letters, articles, or other material of an important or confidential nature for general instruction, or personal knowledge and research 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 1-year experience in accounting
  • Preferred relevant experience in ESU business procedures

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary is commensurate based on experience and/or degree.
