Emporia State University is currently accepting applicants for a Physical Plant Supervisor vacancy with our Electrical team located in Emporia, KS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure high quality service and work is provided to students, departmental staff and faculty, and visitors
  • Supervise benefits-eligible and student staff and oversee the electric shop
  • Train Facilities staff on electrical safety protocols and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Navigate Outlook, WORD, EXCEL, and other technology
  • Provide training and team development to team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED
  • At least five years of supervisory experience in the electric power industry
  • Holds a Master Electrician license in Kansas
  • Able to read construction documents
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Current driver’s license

COMPENSATION:

  • Compensation: $31.00/hr.
  • Schedule: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday - Friday
