This is a full-time, tenure track position in the Music Program of the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Emporia State University. The candidate should have demonstrated success in conducting, teaching, and recruitment.

This position is Tenure-Track.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities are directing the university orchestras, teaching applied strings (either upper strings or cello), and supervising student teachers in strings as needed. A strong emphasis will be placed upon community outreach, creativity, collegiality, service and recruitment. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must possess a terminal degree in orchestral conducting or string performance.
