Emporia State University is looking to fill a full-time, physics instructor position in the School of Science and Mathematics beginning Fall 2024. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The primary duties for this position will be teaching College Physics I and II labs. 
  • Secondary duties may include teaching upper-level physics lecture and lab courses and/or an introductory course in chemistry or physical sciences.
  • The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in our secondary science educator training program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • The minimum educational requirement for this position is a master’s degree in physics, physical science, physics education, physical science education, or closely related field with sufficient academic background to teach College Physics I and II labs.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physics Education or Physics, high school or college physics teaching experience, and experience with physics instrumentation and/or robotics.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $42,000 - $50,000
