Emporia State University seeks applications or nominations for the inaugural Dean of the School of Applied Health Sciences. The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the division, which includes the disciplines of Nursing, Counseling, Psychology, and Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
The newly formed School of Applied Health Sciences combines ESU’s current strengths in the health sciences to provide exceptional high impact learning experiences, fulfilling the University’s mission of “preparing students for lifelong learning, rewarding careers, and adaptive leadership.”
The Dean will work closely with assistant deans and faculty to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the growth of the reorganized school, enhance the University’s impact on health-related professions within the region, and participate in developing a state-of-the-art Nursing and Student Wellness Center on campus.
