The School of Business & Technology at Emporia State University invites applications for one tenure-track position in Management at the assistant professor level. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of management with a special emphasis on strategy courses. Ability/willingness to teach online classes (including accelerated online classes) is required. The position is housed in the AACSB-accredited School of Business & Technology and begins August 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The candidate's main role will entail instructing undergraduate and graduate courses in Management and other related subjects.
  • In addition to delivering exceptional teaching, candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to conducting and publishing high-quality scholarly research and engaging in service activities that align with ESU's mission, benefiting both the University and the broader business community.
  • This is a fulltime tenure-track position, 9-month appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have earned a Ph.D. in Management. Candidates with terminal qualifications in related disciplines and those candidates that are ABD may also be considered.
  • Relevant teaching and/or industry experience in management or strategy/organizational behavior is a plus.
  • Candidates must exhibit excellent teaching and be considered Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards. 

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary:  $88,000.00 - $93,000.00 annually based on experience or additional qualifications.
