The Director of Athletic Video Production & Technical Support will lead the planning, production, and distribution of video content for the University's athletic programs, including live broadcasts, promotional content, and in-venue displays. The role also includes managing the technical infrastructure necessary to support high-quality video production.
Note: This opportunity is open only to current ESU students who are graduating in the Spring semester.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct all aspects of video production for athletic events, including live streaming, replay operations, and in-venue content.
- Serve as the lead technical director for broadcasts, overseeing equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Manage video boards, ribbon boards, and other in-game digital presentation systems.
- Coordinate video needs for all varsity teams, including promotional materials, highlight reels, and special projects.
- Train and supervise a student workforce to assist with game-day production and editing.
- Collaborate with athletic communications, marketing, and coaching staff to ensure brand consistency.
- Maintain video equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Ensure all video content complies with NCAA guidelines and broadcast standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques in sports video production.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a current University student graduating in the Spring semester.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in digital content creation, social media management, or marketing.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, etc.) and social media platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by athletic event schedules.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 annually
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
