Assistant Registrar - Transcript Analyst

The Assistant Registrar-Transcript Analyst requires the ability to work closely and confidentially with undergraduate students, faculty, and administrators in interpreting academic policies relative to transfer articulation agreements and transfer credit equivalencies.


The analyst must possess strong computer and communication skills. The analyst will analyze, verify accreditation, and create an electronic academic transcript. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for downloading all incoming transcripts for the university and evaluates all transfer work from other accredited education institutions and entities.This position works closely with the Associate Registrar in fulfilling the responsibilities of data integrity and facilitating the recording and management of all student records. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be familiar with all aspects and functions of the university; know university policies, general rules and regulations and demonstrate the ability to apply them accordingly
  • Download all incoming transcripts
  • Analyze and evaluate transfer credit in accordance with university policy
  • Post transfer credit to student records
  • Communicate with university disciplines and transfer institutions in the evaluation and development of course equivalencies
  • Assist with maintenance of course equivalency modules
  • Resolve unique transfer equivalency problems for individual students
  • Interface with electronic transcript module and degree/audit module
  • Serve as a resource for ongoing and special projects within Registration
  • Disseminate information to departments, students, constituencies of the university and community as appropriate
  • Maintain a professional level of confidentiality in all aspects of job performance and protection of student records
  • Work closely with all Student Support Services, Graduate Office, Admissions, and Academic Departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or High school diploma and 5 years of directly related experience
  • Work under minimal direction, making independent judgements and taking action in accordance with established policy and procedure
  • Experience in applying policy and regulations desired

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary:  $43,403 - $44,000 annually
  • Qualifications and previous experience will be considered for placement of base rank and salary.
