Emporia State University’s Business Office is seeking applications for a highly organized, detail-oriented, team player to join us as the Director of Cashiering Services. This is a full-time position, eligible for a comprehensive benefits package

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily accounting functions using Banner program.
  • Complete daily balance sheets and deposits.
  • Process additional payments through TouchNet, Flywire, and TransferMate.
  • Process excess financial aid to student accounts via Banner.
  • Post departmental deposits via Banner and OnBase. 
  • Complete 3rd party billing processes, including submitting required documents to vendors and posting and refunding payments on student accounts.
  • Effectively communicate with students and authorized users, various Emporia State University departments, and off-campus entities regarding student accounts, deposits, and billings.
  • Work closely with Athletics, Human Resources, Registration and Office of International Education regarding waivers and student accounts. 
  • Supervise student workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
  • The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of related professional experience. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are also required.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $23.12 - $25.60 hourly
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
