In compliance with FERPA guidelines and University policy, the Assistant Registrar – Curriculum & Degree assists students and departments with accurate enrollment data and ensures class grades are documented and submitted properly. This position is responsible for all enrollment reporting and all registration functions associated with the accelerated programs. Must be flexible with work assignments and comfortable learning varied office functions. Must be solution oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In concert with the Registrar, set work priorities to provide supervision to students and staff in the Degree Analysis and Curriculum areas within the Registrar’s Office.
  • Become proficient with the university’s student information system and its related modules (current system is Banner).
  • Submit academic and enrollment reports to National Student Clearinghouse: Provide student records regularly that are consistent with time requirements for federal regulations. Process student Honor Roll. Process mid-term and final grades.
  • Process enrollment corections: Make adjustments to schedules, classifications, late grades, required withdrawals, biographical information as presented by various entities. Ensure that accurate information is documented. Analyze diverse situations.
  • Process and format information for Degree Verification as required for National Student Clearinghouse organization.
  • Monitor Concurrent/JumpStart program to include enrolling students, communicating with others to ensure course availability, providing rosters, and collecting grades at the end of the term.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of all data contained in each student record.
  • Maintain functional working environment: Hire, train, supervise, plan, organize and direct the work of two full-time and two student employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Registrar.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of directly related experience is required.
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills as well as sound judgement, and the ability to work under pressure with an extremely high degree of accuracy are necessary.
  • Graduate level college work is preferred.
  • Professional experience in higher education is preferred.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $53,000
