Emporia State University is seeking an Accountant I to join our University Facilities team located in Emporia, KS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create contract approval forms
- Obtain tax exemption forms
- Request project exemption forms from the Kansas Department of Revenue
- Prepare invoices and reconcile credit card statements
- Track purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Compile and maintain accounts receivables for the Physical Plant and Mail Center
- Run queries and reports from the University Accounting System
- Prepare reports for the University to submit to outside agencies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, as well as four years of related professional experience in an accounting function.
- A related post-secondary degree may substitute for the required experience.
- Education or apprenticeship may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by ESU.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $20.87 - $21.87 hourly
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
