Emporia State University seeks applications or nominations for the Dean of The Teachers College. The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the division, which includes programs in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, School Leadership, Middle & Secondary Education, and Field Placement and Licensure.
The Teachers College has a long and storied history of providing exceptional high impact learning experiences for its future teachers and administrators, fulfilling the University’s mission of “preparing students for lifelong learning, rewarding careers, and adaptive leadership.”
The Dean will work closely with assistant deans, faculty, and staff to develop a comprehensive strategic vision for the college, deepen the school’s community engagement, advance initiatives to engage and recruit students to the University and to the school’s programs, and continue The Teachers College’s success in developing first-rate teachers, administrators, and education leaders for the region and state.
