Emporia State University is seeking applications for an Administrative Specialist for the School of Applied Health Sciences. This is a 12-month onsite position, benefits eligible and based in Emporia, KS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to the units within the school and assist in optimal operation.
• Assist Students and Faculty and respond to initial program inquiries and unit/school emails.
• Answer Phones, greet visitors, copy, file, monitor and order supplies, and compose documents.
• Initiate forms, assist in compiling data, data entry, and maintain databases.
• Organize and assist with school events.
• Coordinate the completion of paperwork, while maintaining and tracking budgets.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in an office or administrative support position. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with at least 1 year of administrative or office experience
• One year of experience managing budgets and/or purchasing
• Familiarity with Banner, or other budgeting systems
  

COMPENSATION:

• Salary: $18.47 - $20.47 hourly
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
