The Finance Director supports financial leadership by assisting in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts for the Emporia State University Foundation and Alumni Association.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly budget to actual comparison reports for the organization.
- Monitor banking activities of the organization (includes checking account, sweep account and business credit cards for employees).
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets included but not limited to: coding and approving operating expenditures, approving disbursements to the University, recording and/or approval of journal entries and verification of documentation for business purpose.
- Assist in the establishing and maintaining of adequate internal controls over financial data and documenting accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual budget, the annual audit, the tax and informational returns and other projects for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum of three years’ professional experience in an accounting function.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $71,723 - $75,000 Annually
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
