The Executive Associate serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Senior Vice President for Development. 


  • Must have strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail as well as leadership skills including meeting facilitation and/or project leadership.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills that reflect the ability to build relationships with all Foundation constituents.
  • Must be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer service with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities and be a highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Must be a forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions with the ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to professionally, tactfully and diplomatically relay information and/or represent the Senior Vice President for Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle a broad variety of administrative tasks for the ESUF Senior Vice President for Development including but not limited to managing active calendars of appointments; completing expense reports and composing and preparing correspondence that can often be confidential.
  • Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence and other tasks that facilitate the ability to effectively lead the development team.
  • Communicate directly, and on behalf of the Senior Vice President for Development, with donors, staff, and others, on matters related to the Foundation’s initiatives
  • Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures. 
  • Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Senior Vice President for Development, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with both internal and external constituents focusing on creating a people-centered culture. Provide leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization and manage a variety of special projects for the Senior Vice President for Development many of which may have organizational impact.
  • Understand and utilize the enterprise relationship software system for effective and efficient constituent management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • All candidates must have a bachelor’s degree as well as five to ten years of professional experience in an administrative setting and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary: $23.12 - $35.84 hourly
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
