Emporia State University is seeking an Assistant Director for the TRIO Student Support Services program in Emporia, KS. This position is a full-time, 12-month, limited term benefits-eligible position (dependent on continuation of grant funding). 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Basic duties include development, plan, and implement support services which result in increased academic performance, retention, and graduation rates of participants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human development, counseling, psychology, education, social welfare, student affairs/higher education, or related field of study.
  • Three years of professional experience administering programs serving college students
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students, campus community and administrators
  • A demonstrated ability to approach tasks creatively


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advising, teaching and coordinates services for students. 

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary:  $48,084 - $55,000 annually
