Emporia State University is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Human Resources Professional to join our team. In this role, you will partner with departments across the organization to attract and hire qualified candidates while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting recruitment efforts, employment processes, and HR data management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and job advertisements
  • Provide guidance on applicable employment laws, policies, and employment-based visa sponsorship
  • Create and review position descriptions and ensure appropriate classification
  • Prepare and manage appointments and employment contracts
  • Process hiring documentation and support onboarding for new employees
  • Coordinate student and graduate assistant employment processes
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within HR systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in human resources


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in human resources
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations
  • Experience working in a higher education setting

COMPENSATION:

  • Hourly Rate:  $20.87 - $31.31
  • Hourly Rate will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
