The Counselor provides direct clinical services to students using a brief, developmentally focused model that emphasizes coping skills, resiliency, and academic success. Counselors collaborate with campus and community partners to support students using solution-focused interventions and resources. 


Counseling Services is looking to hire two Counselors in this search.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based, short-term interventions.
  • Conduct intake assessments, risk evaluations, and treatment planning.
  • Support students in developing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
  • Make appropriate referrals to campus resources and community providers when needs exceed the scope of counseling services.
  • Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Participate in outreach, prevention programming, and consultation with faculty and staff.
  • Provide internship supervision and support within their scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary:  $55,297 - $65,000
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
