TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FOR ESU EMPLOYEES, SPOUSES, AND ELIGIBLE DEPENDENTS
Recognizing the importance of continuing education, Emporia State University provides tuition assistance to benefit-eligible employees of the University, their spouses, and eligible dependents. The benefit is available for a course, or courses, taken at ESU.
University employees who are in a benefits eligible position, employed at least 50% time, and enrolled in courses will receive a waiver of the campus privilege fees for all credit hours in which they are enrolled. During the first year of employment, employees will be assessed tuition at the per credit hour rate up to the full time campus tuition rate. After one year of service, the employee can apply for up to 6 credit hours of tuition assistance per semester*. This benefit is applicable only during the employee's appointment. Participants in the Spouse and Dependent Tuition Waiver Program are required to pay all applicable fees.
*Accelerated Online Programs (AOP) split each semester into two blocks of classes. Both blocks will count toward the 6 credit hour limit per semester.
