Emporia State University is seeking applicants to fill two open Custodial Specialist positions within our University Facilities division. The work schedule for this position is Tuesday-Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm and Saturday 12:00pm to 8:30pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain floor cleanliness in assigned areas 
  • Ensure that hallways, rooms, stairwells, restrooms, elevators, and other areas remain clean
  • Ensure the cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing sinks, mirrors, doors, walls, and other features. 
  • Manage the cleanliness of outdoor sidewalks, walkways, and entrance areas by removing leaves and other debris including snow and ice. 
  • Restock restroom supplies as necessary
  • Ensure that cleaning supplies are available and that buildings are secure during and after cleaning activities
  • Transport recycling and waste to disposal areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to safely operate custodial equipment and use cleaning products according to established procedures. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment required to perform job duties
  • Previous custodial, housekeeping, facilities, or related cleaning experience is preferred

COMPENSATION:

Compensation starting at $15.03/hour
