Emporia State University is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional to serve as an Administrative Specialist within the Division of Enrollment Management + Student Success. This position provides advanced administrative and operational support across multiple departments and plays a vital role in supporting the division's daily operations and strategic goals. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member who demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to exceptional service while helping advance student success and institutional priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advanced administrative and program support for multiple departments within the division.
- Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and other business documents.
- Assist with budget monitoring, financial tracking, and recordkeeping activities.
- Coordinate purchasing and payment processes while ensuring compliance with university procedures.
- Manage calendars, schedules, and meeting logistics for departmental leadership.
- Arrange travel accommodations and process travel-related documentation.
- Organize conferences, meetings, events, and special projects.
- Support human resources and payroll-related administrative processes.
- Supervise and support student employees as assigned.
- Serve as a resource for faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of administrative responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of experience in an office or administrative support position. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience supporting multiple departments or operational units.
- Experience with budgeting, purchasing, payroll, or administrative operations in a higher education environment.

COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be negotiable based upon education & experience.
