The Associate Director of Student Engagement supports the development and implementation of a comprehensive co-curricular experience that fosters student involvement, leadership development, and campus connection. Reporting to the Director of Student Engagement, this role helps execute strategic initiatives that enhance student engagement, belonging, and retention.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advising major student organizations such as the Associated Student Government (ASG) and University Activities Council (UAC)
- Coordinating major transition programs including Hornet Orientation, Welcome Weekend, and 40 Days at the Hive
- Supporting the development of Learning Communities that integrate academic and co-curricular experiences
- Collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners to promote inclusive programming and student success
- Assisting with event planning, student leadership development, and assessment of engagement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Business, or a related field; or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be negotiable based upon education & experience
